PROJECT ROLLS-ROYCE

If you are interested in becoming the owner of this unique Rolls–Royce Single Bed, please contact us for more details.

An official project partner for A Legacy of Luxury “ Celebrating the RREC™ Diamond Jubilee

We are honoured to receive an invitation for Fun Furniture Collection to participate at the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club Diamond Jubilee Celebrations for which we will produce a one off bespoke Rolls –Royce bed for their celebrations including an event at Kensington Palace.

Thanks to the kind permission on Rolls –Royce PLC for allowing us to work on such fantastic high profile project.

The model we have chosen to replicate in our Fun Furniture Collection style is a 1929 Rolls –Royce Phantom 1 Ascot Phaeton

We loved visiting Kensington Palace in December and exhibiting at the Rolls–Royce Enthusiasts' Club Diamond Jubilee Celebrations at Burghley House. If you would like to see the design process, please see below.

The design stage had a tight deadline of 30 days to have the bed produced, photographed ready for the publication in the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club (RREC) hand-made, beautifully illustrated 400-page book.

The thought process for this piece of furniture is a totally different animal to our usual design process. The engineering, aesthetic beauty to which we have to convey this Rolls-Royce bed is paramount.  The skill and the craftsmanship of the original Rolls-Royce designers and craftsmen have to be maintained. Putting myself into the shoes of such a passionate team is a big responsibility. Every last detail has to be thought out to attain my final objective.

Starting the process from the ground up concentrating on the finest of detail, amending and evolving until satisfaction is achieved. Merging the world of high-class automotive design into furniture design will be a joy. Every last detail scrutinized until perfect.

This unique bed includes substantial storage in the engine compartment and a removable picnic basket toy box to the rear, opening front doors, perspex windscreen and detailed dashboard. The bed fits a standard UK single mattress (190cm x 90cm.) The Rolls-Royce bed measures in total 4m long by 1.44m wide by 1.22m high (to the top of the windscreen.)

Now our events have been completed, the Rolls-Royce is for sale. We are looking for interested parties in
this unique, handmade piece of furniture.
